History
2008
The roots of the Institute of Rare Earths and Metals lie in the year 2008. In an exclusive order, a group of experts has been called together to solve bottlenecks in manufacturing processes of large industrial companies in the field of rare earths.
2011
Over time, so much data came together that in the year 2011 the Institute of Rare earth and metals was formally registered with the establishment of a registered association in Dusseldorf and henceforth served as a collection point for all information.
2013
Increasing requests in the field of value for the most diverse metals led to the decision in 2013 to use our organically grown network to probe prices of around 600 metals regularly from the entire value chain and to make them available.
2018
Our new website will be online in a new guise, new database structure and the latest security requirements. We offer interested users daily prices for some 600 rare earth metals. Strategic metals, base metals, special metals and isotopes.
2019
With our newly founded partner company, we offer metal analysis at the highest technical level. With our GD-MS metal analysis unit we are able to identify 74 elements. We can thus determine the purity of a metal up to 99,99999%.
The ISE trading platform is online. Buyers and sellers of metals have a trading venue on which ONLY verified persons trade and verified goods are offered. All goods are visited, analyzed and evaluated.
2020
With our Swiss partner company, we are now able to offer you storage options for high-priced metals. We can fall back on 5000 square meters of domestic storage space and 2000 square meters of outdoor storage to meet your needs. Everything of course on the most modern and highest security standards. Our warehouse receipts are internationally accepted.
2021
The Institute for Rare Earths and Metals is now trading as a Swiss stock corporation in the canton of Zug. The reasons for the move are close to our warehouse, which we have been operating in the free trade zone of Zurich Airport since 2020, and the financial institutions with which we have been offering trading programs for raw materials since 2019.
The ISE database is now also available online. We offer a closed group of users around 900 prices for pure metals and around 4500 prices for metal products in real time. For all pupils and students, we continue to publish an average price of all metals for free, relating to the last six months.
2022
The storage capacity in the Zurich free trade zone has now increased to a total of 5500 square meters.
The Institute for Rare Earths and Metals AG moves into its new headquarters in the heart of the city of Lucerne. ISE AG is the only tenant to occupy the first floor of Lucerne's town hall. The office offers enough space for two conference rooms, a training room and spacious office space.
