Great Western Minerals Appoints Mining Manager For Steenkampskraal

Great Western Minerals (CVE: GWG, OTC: GWMGF, FFT: GWM) has appointed Kwaw Kabaah as Mining Manager for the Steenkampskraal Rare Earth Project in the Western Cape Province of South Africa.

Kabaah reports to David Kennedy, Chief Executive for Rare Earth Extraction Co (Rareco). Great Western subsidiary Rareco holds the title for Steenkampskraal.

He has previously worked at Johannesburg Consolidated Investment Group Mines, DeBeers Group and African Rainbow Minerals' Black Rock Mine.

Kabaah also worked for the South African Department of Mineral Resources.

Great Western produces specialty alloys for batteries, magnetics, and the aerospace industry from two locations: Less Common Metals at Birkenhead, UK, and Great Western Technologies at Troy, Michigan.

In addition to Steenkampskraal, the company owns interests in six rare earth exploration and development properties in North America.
