AHK Chile and VDI / VDE-IT sign

cooperation agreement

The AHK Chile and VDI / VDE Innovation + Technik GmbH (VDI / VDE-IT) want to jointly advance the innovative strength of the South American country. In the presence of the Chilean Minister of Economic Affairs Luis Felipe Céspedes, Cornelia Sonnenberg, General Manager of the AHK Chile, and Peter Dortans, Managing Director of VDI / VDE-IT, signed an agreement on partnership to increase innovation in Chile on October 28th.

The agreement will focus on cluster programs, policies and instruments for regional and / or sectoral competitiveness enhancement, business innovation management offerings, workplace foresight measures and tools, and policies, programs and measures for skills development.

The AHK has been working together with VDI / VDE-IT for several years in a jointly developed program for the training of innovation managers in companies. The agreement also benefits from the fact that Chile has had a cross-cutting agenda for competitiveness, innovation and growth since May 2014, which is similar to the new high-tech strategy of the federal government.

Pacific Alliance - Economic Outlook

The close cooperation of the four countries Mexico, Colombia, Peru and Chile in the new economic alliance “Pacific Alliance” opens up new perspectives for German companies.

The managing directors of the four foreign chambers of commerce informed interested entrepreneurs about these possibilities at an information event to which the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy participated in the 6. November in Berlin.

The event was opened by State Secretary Matthias Machnig and LAI Chairman Dr. Ing. Reinhold Festge. The AHK Chile was represented by its Chief Executive Cornelia Sonnenberg. In addition, former leader DEinternational AHK Chile, Antje Wandelt, was present since 1. November the AHK Peru as Chief Executive.

Registrations for joint stand

on the EXPONOR 2015

The international trade fair for mining, EXPONOR 2015, takes place from May 11th to 15th at the mining site of Antofagasta, Chile. Around 1.250 exhibitors from 30 countries are expected to attend the fair, including mainly suppliers and service companies for the mining industry. The trade fair organizers are expecting 40.000 visitors - managing directors, executives and operators of mining companies and suppliers as well as representatives from technical universities.

The German-Chilean Chamber of Commerce and Industry, with its Competence Center Mining and Raw Materials, will for the second time organize a German joint stand at the EXPONOR 2015 mining fair, aimed at member companies, German companies or their Chilean representatives.

The registration deadline ends at 15. December.

German participation in the

CONEXPO Latin America 2015

The international trade fair for construction machinery - CONEXPO - will take place for the first time in Santiago de Chile from October 21 to 24, 2015. At the same time as CONEXPO Latin America 2015, the Edifica and ExpoHormigón (Www.feriadelaconstruccion.cl)to present materials and equipment for finishing residential and commercial real estate as well as building materials.

On behalf of the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWi), IMAG - "International Trade Fair and Exhibition Service GmbH (Messe München)" - is organizing a joint German stand.
