The German Institute for Rare Earths and Metals eV is a household name worldwide when it comes to prices for rare earths, secondary metals and isotopes. Metal traders have repeatedly asked if there can not be a weekly updated price reading for these roughly 120 metals in Russian, Spanish, French and German.
The Institute for Rare Earths and Metals would like to and is able to meet this requirement. For this project EURO 250.000 are needed and brought into a GmbH founded especially for this purpose under German law. The investors are registered as shareholders and the institute takes over the management of the GmbH. A full ROI is expected after a maximum of 12 months.

More than ten million decision-makers from the metal industry worldwide need current prices for their goods. The most common metals are all listed on stock exchanges around the world and it's just a click to get the daily price. The situation is different with the so-called rare earths, secondary metals and isotopes. These goods are not listed on any stock exchange in the world. These are metals such as antimony, bismuth, arsenic, cadmium, chromium, cobalt, gallium, germanium, dysprosium, terbium, indium and many more, just to name a few examples. Overall, this group includes several metals around 120, which in turn are divided into different qualities, so a list of around 500 elements would have to be updated weekly.
The top dogs are currently Metalpages and Asiapages, which already cover a large part of the demand. However, both sources of information are only available in English and are quite expensive with an annual price of EUR 3.500 to 4.200. The Institute for Rare Earths and Metals would therefore like to publish the web database in Russian, Spanish, Italian, French and German, each created by native speaker translators. The announced price should not exceed EUR 1.000 per year. Furthermore, a trading platform is to be built in, in which both sellers and buyers can find their matching counterpart.
The marketing will start by email notifications to the already existing 12.000 prospective customers and in the later course, due to the special conditions such as language and price, grow purely organically.
The program 50 for 50
For the maximum number of five investors, the program 50 for 50 has been launched. This means that EUR 50.000 per client is well written and paid quarterly for each EURO 50 that has been paid. Based on current market conditions and demand, a stock of 1.000 subscribers can be expected after one year, a gradual market saturation is expected after 7-10 years at 15.000 subscribers.
